DEPUTY IN URGENT NEED OF BONE MARROW DONOR

Sergeant Jorge Chavez, a 17 year veteran of the Sheriff’s Department, was recently diagnosed with leukemia.  To date, no matching donor has been located and he has an urgent need for a bone marrow transplant.  

In an attempt to find a matching donor, we invite you to participate in a bone marrow match test to be administered at the Biscailuz Center Training Academy located at 1060 N. Eastern Avenue, Los Angeles between  the hours of 1100 am to 3:00 pm on Tuesday, January 17th.   For further information, please contact Sgt Nichol Davis at San Dimas station.
