The staff of the Sheriffs’ Relief Association is saddened to announce the passing of Retired Captain Louis V. Portesi Jr. he passed away on April 7, 2016.

Louis joined the Sheriff’s Department on August 22, 1962 and retired from Commercial Crimes Bureau on March 30, 1991.

He was a veteran of the United States Navy and served during the Korean War.

A celebration of life will occur on April 23, 2016 beginning at 3 pm at the Desert Horizons Country Club, 44900 Desert Horizons Dr., Indian Wells, Ca 92210, (760) 340-4646. A reception will follow immediately at the same location.
