The staff of the Sheriffs’ Relief Association is saddened to announce the passing of retired Deputy Herbert L. Wood, age 86, on January 26, 2013, from natural causes. Herb joined the Sheriff’s Department on April 24, 1955, and retired from Custody Division on April 23, 1964.

Mr. Wood served three years in the United States Marine Corps.
