The staff of the Sheriffs’ Relief Association is saddened to announce the passing of Retired Sergeant George Phipps. He passed away on April 30, 2015.

George joined the Sheriff’s Department on May 26, 1953 and retired from the Health and Safety Unit on October 1, 1980.

He was a veteran of the United States Navy.
