NATIONAL LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICERS MEMORIAL AND CANDLELIGHT VIGIL

The National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial and Candlelight Vigil will be held in Washington D.C. on May 13 & 15, 2017. Sadly, several LASD members who were killed in the line of duty will be enrolled on the memorial monument this year. The Department has designated on-duty personnel to participate in this memorial to show support for all peace officers who died in the line of duty during 2016, including Sergeant Steven Owen and Sergeant Alfonso Lopez. The following are event details and requirements for uniform personnel in attendance:

National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Candlelight Vigil

National Law Enforcement Officers’ Memorial Ceremony

Time: 1000 hours
Location: West Front of the U.S. Capitol, Washington D.C.
