70th Annual Serra Retreat

The weekend of October 21-23, 2016, marks the
70th Anniversary of the Sheriff’s Department Law Enforcement Retreat
at the Serra Retreat House in Malibu. Don’t miss this opportunity. If you are looking for a break in your busy, hectic routine, and your personal and professional work schedules, and need some time to think and relax, this weekend is for you. The Retreat House is located on top of the Malibu Hills, surrounded by the beautiful blue Pacific Ocean.
When attending the Retreat, you have opportunities to go on quiet walks and enjoy the beautiful scenery in Malibu Hills. You may also just choose to quietly reflect and enjoy the beautiful setting by relaxing in the informal environment, or you may just need sleep and great home cooked meals. Positive, uplifting presentations are also offered on a voluntary basis.
You will begin your experience by checking in any time after 1500 hours on Friday, October 21, 2016. Try to avoid traffic by leaving your work location or residence early. Friday’s dinner will be served from 1700 to 1900 hours to accommodate late arrivals. Check out time will be approximately 1200 hours on Sunday, October 23, 2016. It is located:

Serra Road is located between Sweetwater Canyon Road and Cross Creek Road, directly off the Pacific Coast Highway. It is south of the Old Malibu Sheriff’s Station and across from Malibu Lagoon State Park.
All meals, lodging, and voluntary presentations continue to be offered at a very low affordable cost. All religious denominations are invited to attend. This retreat is open to men and women, professional staff and sworn, from all Los Angeles County Law Enforcement agencies. Spouses, relatives, and friends are also welcome to attend.
