The Sheriff’s Relief Association (SRA) has a long-standing tradition of caring for the men and women of LASD. Whether financial or supportive during times of need, the SRA has been there for both active and retired law enforcement family members.
As an active duty infantryman in the United States Marine Corps for eight years, I served multiple combat tours in Afghanistan and Iraq. Since joining the Sheriff’s Department, I’ve worked multiple assignments in Custody, Patrol, and Administrative divisions.
In Custody, I worked assignments that allowed me to develop reports and make recommendations to policies and procedures to help defend our personnel. While on patrol in Palmdale and Lancaster, I worked with deputies, jailers, and dispatchers who gave their hearts and souls for the communities they serve. As an administrative body, I worked Advocacy, providing legal opinions to the Department. As a Sergeant at SIB, I now have the privilege of helping our Department reach out to the communities we serve about our employees’ great works.
I will dedicate myself to two things: continuing the tradition of service to our members established by Sheriff Biscailuz and the founding board of trustees, and look at new ways to support our members, active and retired, ensuring those who cared for our communities are cared for as well.
