Mike Fratantoni

I have served with the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department since February 2000, beginning my career as a Custody Assistant at PDC-East.
By 2002, I began preserving historical documents and collaborating closely with the Sheriff’s Museum. My involvement deepened when I became a member of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Museum Committee in 2007, working alongside Sheriff’s Relief Association Trustees while continuing to serve at the Education-Based Incarceration Unit in our Custody Division. My work included interviewing retirees and researching the Department’s storied history—efforts that reflect my belief that understanding the past is essential to making informed decisions for the future.
In 2015, I transferred to the Sheriff’s Information Bureau, where I took on the role of curator for the Museum at the Hall of Justice. I was also responsible for cataloging the Department’s extensive collection of historical photographs and documents.
Since 2019, I have proudly served as a Trustee for Sheriffs Relief.
In addition to my work with the Sheriffs’ Relief, I serve on the Los Angeles County Peace Officers’ Memorial Committee as well as participating in the annual Police Unity Tour.
